Summary of grants received

  •  fully assessed the GMI with builders, roofers, electricians and plumbers to highlight the work needing address in order to bring the building back to high level for service users in relation to the in depth building assessment previously created, and in line with the committees perceived priorities 
  • Zero waste Scotland reviews on energy efficiency helping to inform choices on heating etc 
  • In conjunction with contractors and committee, informed by feedback from user members / groups also, identified that the following aspects or repair / improvements were priority… 1. stopping leaks and damp caused by repairing and repointing a leaking gable end and a few roof tiles as well as treating damp in front passageway, replacing all existing fire doors and draught excluders. 2. replacing all electric systems with more modern boxes, motion sensor lights, new fire alarm system, adding in ability to use generators, outdoor lighting etc, 3. Replacing current heating system with 2 new boilers and new pipes and radiators, 4. Remodel all bathrooms to give more female toilets and better use the space

  • Blackcraig wind farm £13,320
  • ANCBC £24, 194
  • Scottish power £5000
  • ANCBC £16,902 
  • Tesco £500 ( for new sporting equipment) 
  • Application pending to community council for £20,000 for the toilet remodel 
  • All electrical upgrades complete
  • Gable end and fire doors, fire alarm system complete 
  • Heating work will commence shortly after funding ( already been offered) has been drawn down 
  • Toilet re model planned for October after community council grant is hopefully favourable 
  • Now looking with zero waste Scotland and constructors into insulating the roof 
  • Completely new website created and up and running with better booking system and more modern functions
  • Business plan to future proof the continued work and running of building for these or potential future committee members underway 
  • Won the war memorial of year 2021, £150 was used to fox urgent leaking pipe , entered again for 2022 
  • Supported committee via  meetings, standing in as committee member temporary, photography , gaining gifts in kind for raffles  etc, assisting and informing decision  making re investigation and presenting of options for the works.
